Harry Judd has admitted he is dreading the party season because people will expect him to show off his new Strictly Come Dancing moves.

The McFly drummer, who is the favourite to win the glitterball trophy, said he still does not have “the faintest idea” how to dance despite wowing the judges with his partner Aliona Vilani.

He said: “The thing about Strictly is afterwards it’s going to be interesting when we are at parties or weddings, people are going to be like, ‘Oh you can dance’ and expect us to dance but we’ve only been able to get through this experience with our amazing professionals and they’ve taught us every step of the way – and literally every step.

“So when it comes to freestyling, if you like, I still don’t have the faintest idea what I’m doing so I’m not looking forward to the first party when it will be ‘Go on, Harry, show us some moves’.

“Without Aliona I’m nothing on the dance floor, I’m afraid”.

He will disappoint his legion of fans after vowing to keep his top on in this weekend’s final.

He said: “I did actually say I wouldn’t go topless. I don’t think I will, I think it’s a bit much but there is the show dance which is more flashy and a bit impressive so maybe I’ll undo a few buttons but I won’t go topless.”
